Yoyo my hommies! Im Lynsey, I’m 25 and am currently a Marketing PhD student. I have the privilege of leading the Soul Sister team with my new partner Helena. Soul Sister is one of my biggest passions in life as I believe the vision for this ministry was truly God given. When Mel, Alicia and I first discussed this vision it became apparent that this ministry wasn’t just about getting to hang out with you cool chicks but it was a command from God that us girls as we grow in our love and knowledge of the Lord should be training you younger girls to live in Christlike ways [Titus 2:3-5]. WOW what a task and what a responsibility -  often I feel so unworthy to be leading such a ministry however I believe if I’m truly seeking God then I can do all things through Him as he strengthens me. My prayer for you girls is that you will grow to be Kindgom builders for Him and that you will embrace the plans God has for you.
Much love Lynsey xxx

I am passionate about ministering to and learning from teenage girls for two reasons. Firstly, i am young myself and can relate to and have first hand experience of a lot of the joys, pressures and struggles that teenage girls face today. Secondly, I want to see girls enter into and continue on the process of embracing who God created them to be and and seeing themselves through His eyes. I believe this ministry is both necessary and worthwhile, and I count it a learning curve and an absolute privilege to be a part of. Jade x

I'm 18 and have just left school, I am now studying Social work and enjoying being a student. Last year I attended Soul Sister and really loved it, I’m now so happy to be a leader and really looking forward to the year ahead for all the good things the team and God have planned for Soul Sister this year.xxxx

The tender intimacy of the Lord with you can be seen through His plans for your life: He has planned everything;your career, your first love, your first heartbreak, your role in church, your family relations, everything without you even asking him to. He knows you better than you know yourself so trust He always knows best!! Be flexible in the hand of the Spirit for there you will always be safe! Philippians 4v11

I work as a administrator with the Bryson Charitable Group and help look after my grandson, Elijah who is 9 months old.I enjoy reading, walking, going to the gym, swimming, making gift cards and doing craft work.  It is a privilege to be on the Soul Sister Committee because I feel that by playing some small part in influencing these young lives to trust in God then every moment spent will be worthwhile.

Hi I’m Ruth and I’m married to Rowan. I have 2 daughters ages 19 and 23. Rachel is 19 and at RGU University in Aberdeen. Deborah is 23 and is teaching in Madrid this year.
I work for the Court Service and recently changed offices to work for the Coroner. I am a Coroners Liaison Officer which means I deal with sudden deaths liaising between the Coroner and the families. I find I get a great deal of satisfaction from this job as although I can't preach to the people I deal with I can show them sympathy and kindness. I can also pray in my own time for those involved in deaths which touch me particularly. I am glad to be involved in Soul Sister as I think it is a great idea and I would like to get to know some of the younger girls who go to Newtownbreda and be an encourager if I can.

Hey there all you Soul Sisters....well I’m Sarah, I’m 19 and have just started my second year at Stranmillis studying Primary Teaching with Music....so warning to all with younger brothers and sisters!

I wanted to be part of the team at Soul Sister this year as I would love the opportunity to encourage girls who know Christ as their Saviour to glorify God, be strong in their faith and to be an example of Christ in their everyday lives. My hope is that the girls will grow together in fellowship but also in their own individual spiritual walks with God. I hope that everyone feels a sense of belonging and we create an environment where there are opportunities to build deeper and more meaningful relationships with the leaders and other young people.

Hi, I am 42yrs old and have been married to Glenn for 22yrs!  My daughter Steph is 19yrs & son, Ross has just had his 18th birthday!  I am a classroom assistant with 10yr old special needs children in Harberton and love it, although it can be extremely challenging at times.  I love Soul Sister because its a great way for the young & the 'not so young' to get to know each other.

Silly fact about myself:  Last year I got knocked out while watching a rugby match @ Wellington, was carted off to hospital where I totally lost my memory for 3 days & spent 5wks off work recovering!!!!!!!!!
My name is Emma, I'm 25, married to Stephen and I'm an accountant!! I became a Christian when I was at University.
I'm involved in Soul Sister as it is a good way to get alongside the young girls in the church and to build relationships, as well as having lots of fun. As a part of the team I learn so much from the older women and hope the girls that come along learn about the importance of being a sister in Christ and just that they would learn more about our God.

Hi I’m Helena. I have been Christian for a very long time!  For a number of years though I just ticked along - I was plugged in but not switched on. Thankfully God never moved away from me and has proved without fail to be my rock, my strength, my shepherd, my hope and my friend. At Soul sister I hope to get alongside you girls to support and encourage you through teaching biblical principles which you can apply and are relevant to your life in a very practical way.

Hello girls! I’m really excited about being part of the Soul Sister team this year. God has been working through this ministry and I know this year will be the same. I’m looking forward to getting to know you girls better, sharing laughs, experiences, truth and encouraging each other in our walk with God. During the week you’ll find me in the Ulster Hospital working as a speech therapist with elderly patients. I’m a keen knitter and want to tell the world about geocaching - my latest hobby!
‘And in Him you have been made complete’ Colossians 2:10a.
Hi I’m Jackie, I have been married to Billy for 28 years!  We have 3 daughters, Melanie (24), Jenny (22), Stephanie (20) and a boy - Timmy (7).  I work part time in the Ulster Hospital as a midwife, a challenging but rewarding job.  I am looking forward to another year of Soul Sister.  As ‘older’ women, it is lovely to be able to share ideas and experiences with younger girls and to build up relationships - we can learn so much from each other!
Hi I’m Joanne Mc Kenzie I’m 28 years old and I have been married to Robin for 5 years. I have 3 children who keep me busy most days. The reason I wanted to get involved in Soul Sister was to get to know some of the girls better and also to be involved in a ministry that dealt with such relevant issues to young girls today in a sensitive manner xxx
I am Norma Scott, I am married to Mervyn and we have two children. Our son,Peter, is married to a lovely American girl called Amber and they live in Phoenix, Arizona. Our daughter, Sarah Jane, is married to Jonathan and they have a wonderful baby girl called Sienna. They live in Dallas, Texas.
I enjoy playing golf, sewing, reading and entertaining.
The Soul Sister Team is an inspirational group of young women to work with. Their ideas, good teaching, compassion, energy and enthusiasm are second to none. I would, as a Mum, have been very excited for my daughter to be a Soul Sister.

I have just completed my gap year with YWAM doing a Discipleship course in South Africa and Brazil. It was the most incredible 5 months of my life and God taught me so much about His faithfulness and grace.  I am currently working in SMYTHS TOY SUPERSTORE...YEY! I also do a course at university of ulster in social and behavioural sciences. Since coming home, God has given me a passion for the church and ministry within it. Soul Sister has always been a fantastic place for me personally where I can get to know other girls and realise our true beauty in Christ. I hope and pray that God will speak to you through it this year and that He will do incredible things in your life!
